A SCAFFOLDER threatened train station staff and tried to headbutt a police officer after losing his rail ticket, a court heard.
Steven Radcliffe shouted at staff at Blackpool North train station, and kicked the closed platform doors after finding he had no money to replace his ticket.
Radcliffe, aged 20 of Mackenzie Street, Astley Bridge, arrived at the station with another man one afternoon in August.
Prosecutor Alison Quanbrough told Blackpool magistrates that both men had lost their tickets, but seemed to expect to be allowed to travel free of charge.
Radcliffe, who pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour, hit the police officer on the leg, but caused no injury.
He was sentenced to 80 hours' community service, and was ordered to pay a woman station security officer and a male British Transport policeman £25 compensation each. He was also told to pay £60 costs.
