OLYMPIC silver medalist Amir Khan avoided hitting the canvas when he swept to Olympic Games silver medal glory.
But since his return he has been splashed all over it.
Bolton artist Norma Jeavons handed wonderkid Khan this portrait on Saturday morning before he took his homecoming bus ride to greet adoring fans in Bolton town centre.
Miss Jeavons is the second artist to immortalise the boxer in paint. She handed the portrait to the Heaton Destroyer in person. Pictures of Amir are doing a roaring trade. Online auction house eBay have many pictures for sale and one, an 80x60cm painting by London artist Marc Robins fetched £50.
Mr Robins' artwork was rendered in acrylic paint on canvas and entitled "Legends Have Been Rewritten."
In his description of the painting, Mr Robins describes Amir's Olympic debut as the "birth of a star that will shine for years to come."
Robins also tips Amir for success in the Beijing Olympics, heading the auction "Hero in 2004 -- Gold Medalist in 2008."
