ACCOUNTING firm CLB Chartered Accountants advised Daniel Thwaites & Co Ltd on its recent acquisition of the Rosewood Pub Company for approximately £7 million.
Thwaites, one of the largest independent family brewers in the UK, purchased the entire estate of Rosewood's 14-strong pub division, taking Thwaites' estate to more than 420 pubs.
The latest additions to Thwaites' portfolio strengthen its position geographically across Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands.
CLB, based in Chorley New Road, Bolton, acted for Thwaites, conducting extensive due diligence and providing specialist tax and acquisition advice.
Mike Garrett, CLB's lead partner on the deal, said: "Thwaites' long-term strategy is to expand its pub estate with upmarket properties in prime locations and the acquisition of Rosewood fits perfectly with its objectives. This multi-million pound expansion sees Thwaites' at an exciting point of its development and we look forward to being involved in its continued growth."
