FOUR police officers were taken to hospital after their van went out of control and hit a crash barrier in Kearsley.
The Ford Transit was on its way to an incident when it crashed in Bolton Road near to the junction with the A666 at 12.30pm on Sunday.
The officers suffered whiplash and minor injuries and were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where they were released after treatment.
Firefighters were called to the accident but the officers had already got out of the van by the time they arrived.
