THE 20th World Mountain Running Trophy held at Sauze D'Oulx, near Piemonte in Italy, saw three Horwich RMI Harriers taking part.
All three acquitted themselves superbly well over the tough uphill course of 8,460m with 857m of climbing.
Steve Barlow finished 49th in the over-40s race out of 136 finishers. This was a great effort considering Steve has had to limit his recent training due to an ongoing knee problem.
English and British over-50s champion Steve Jackson came a superb 14th and first English counter in the over-50s race while Tony Hesketh was a tremendous fourth in the over-55s category. Tony was the second counter in a victorious over-55s England team that took first, fourth, fifth and 12th places.
