RESIDENTS in Adlington are invited to explore the new village community centre during an open day on Saturday.
The £500,000 Fairview Youth and Community Centre is opening its doors to the public between 10am and noon.
People will have the chance to see the centre, which includes a large hall, meeting room, offices, kitchen, toilets and self-contained shower and changing rooms, first hand. It also features a children's play area and sports pitch.
After a seven-year campaign for the community facility, Fairview Youth and Community Association are putting the final touches to the centre, off Highfield Road North, with a view to opening next month.
