ONE of the North-west's largest and oldest construction firms has moved into its new £2m purpose-built headquarters in Bolton.
G&J Seddon, part of the Seddon Group, has moved for the first time in its 106-year history.
The company has occupied the same premises in Little Hulton since it was established by brothers George and John in 1897. It is still a family-run business, and is now in its fourth generation.
Its new home on the Edgefold Industrial Estate, which is located off Junction 4 of the M61 and is already home to a number of Seddon companies - including Seddons (Plant and Engineers) Ltd, District Garage Ltd and Winget Ltd - provides the site for the prominent new 21,000 sq ft building.
