Damien Smith hit two as Arkwrights defeated Greenwood 4-0, with Nat Barlow and Chris Sutcliffe also on target.
There was just one goal in the day's other Premier Division game, with Simon Hill's strike for Ladybridge enough to see off Tonge United.
Farnworth Canary are the pacesetters in Division One with two wins out of two. Alex McLerg and Andy Kitchen scored as they beat Fox and Stork 2-0.
Black Hores are also unbeaten after they beat AFC Heaton 3-1 thanks to a Dene Bates penalty and further goals from Gavin Vause and Phil Markland.
Danny Carter and Adam Patton scored as Beaumont came from two down to draw 2-2, for whom Balshaw had netted twice.

They are top after thrashing Dobbies B 6-1, but Turton are close behind after P Hutchinson scored twice in a 4-1 defeat of Hare Athletic.

But Dobbies A are at the wrong end of the table after a 2-2 draw against Cross Keys.

Dobbies C are in touch with the leaders after winning 5-2 at Old Smithillians.
A 3-1 victory at Hayward Old Boys has kept Daten among the early leaders too.
Lever Bridge moved to the top of Division Three with a 6-0 demolition of Walkden Wrecks, helped by four Chris Rothwell goals. Horwich Town are chasing hard, though; they won 4-1 at Breightmet United.
