RE: Concert by the Phoenix Summer School, Saturday, August 21. I would like to say a big thank you for a most enjoyable evening's entertainment, presented by the Phoenix Summer School and entitled Westenders.
These youngsters presented a first-class show, with only four-and-a-half days in which to plan, learn and rehearse several musical numbers and dance routines, together with dialogue linking the music.
Their ages ranged from eight to 14 years, but the way they worked showed enthusiasm and great maturity.
The soloists performed with confidence, and all those who attended thoroughly enjoyed their efforts.
Well done, Phoenix, and their organisers - thank you too for arranging a CD recording so we can remember what a super lot you are.
Good luck for future productions - we are waiting!
