LANCASHIRE opener Alec Swann is to leave the county after three years.
The 27-year-old, who decided not to renew his contract, said: "I've enjoyed every minute I've spent at Lancashire.
"But I feel I am at a stage in my career where I need to move forward and seek pastures new."
Manager Mike Watkinson added: "Alec has been a reliable opening Lancashire batsman and has provided the club with a valuable three years service."
Swann's brother Graeme also decided to leave his club earlier this month, joining Nottinghamshire from Northamptonshire on a three-year deal.
