A YOUNG girl came face to face with her hero Ivan Campo after entering a competition in the Bolton Evening News.
Megan Townsend, aged 10, was mascot for the day when Bolton Wanderers played Manchester United at the Reebok last weekend.
Megan, a Wanderers fan from St Helens, trotted out with her favourite players wearing her new pale blue strip and was able to pose for photographs with midfielder Campo and captain Jay Jay Okocha.
Megan entered the caption competition which showed Jay Jay and team-mate Bruno N'Gotty sheltering from the rain under a newspaper.
Her witty caption which read: "Do you think Sam'll find us? I hate playing in the rain?" was picked as the best by judges.
The competition was run in the Bolton Evening News' Wanderer supplement by the Junior Whites at the Wanderers. Runners-up Anthony Mills and Matthew Buckley received a Coca-Cola football.
