WINKY the rescue dog was pipped at the post when she and her owner took part in the UK's largest national dog show.

The two-year-old pet who was rescued by the RSPCA after a cigarette was stubbed out in her eye -- hence her name -- was chosen to take part in the finals of the charity show in Shrewsbury with owner Steve Royle from Halliwell. Unfortunately Winky lost out to a dog from Brighton.
