THREE teenage boys will appear at a youth court in Bolton next week accused of shooting two guards at Daisy Hill train station.
The men, who work for First North Western, were hit in the back and the arm with pellets fired from an air rifle in two separate incidents within an hour of each other.
The conductors had just left trains which pulled into the station in Leigh Road, Westhoughton, when they were shot. The first incident happened at 7pm and the second occurred at 7.50pm on April 18.
Police say a woman travelling on one of the trains also narrowly missed being hit by a pellet.
One of the guards was taken to Wigan Royal Infirmary, while the other refused hospital treatment.
First North Western had offered a £2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the sniper.
Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were all arrested last week and charged with two fire arms offences and assault on staff.
They will appear at Bolton Youth Court on Wednesday.
