WHAT was Robbie Williams doing strolling through Bolton?

Passers-by were left wondering if he had flown in from his home in Los Angeles or his pad in London.

Perhaps he had been lured to Bolton to check out the shopping centre or the busy pub and club scene. But although shoppers watched him walk by in amazement the "superstar" in question was actually Dave Evans -- a Robbie look-a-like. He was in Bolton town centre as part of a radio station competition. Galaxy Radio have teamed up with Mazda to get several lookalikes to stroll around North-west towns offering test drives in the news MX-5.

The radio station held simlar competitions all week. Sarah Jessica-Parker could be seen in Warrington on Monday, Madonna in Rochdale on Tuesday, Brad Pitt in Stockport on Wednesday and Kylie was in Wigan today. Listeners have been ringing when clues to who the star is have been broadcast. Prizes won range from a night at the Lowry Hotel to a luxury spa day for two.
