A DOCTOR involved in a fatal road traffic accident while driving drunk has been cleared by a jury.
Dr David Herbert , of Woolton, Merseyside, had been on a binge drinking session with friends in Liverpool when the crash happened.
Dr Herbert, aged 26, was cleared by a jury at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday of causing death by careless driving while unfit.
He was fined £2,500 for a lesser offence.
Tom Hanson, aged 20, died last November after Dr Herbert's car struck him.
