POLICE have issued a new appeal after Beretta shotguns were stolen during a raid on a shop in Bolton last month.
A description of the weapons including their serial numbers have been circulated by detectives, but so far they have noy been able to trace any of them.
Ten shotguns were taken during a robbery at Target Sports, Halliwell Road, Halliwell, in the early hours of August 25.
They were: five 687 EELL Diamond Pigeon, two MK38 Trap guns, two Bettinsoli game guns and one 686 E Trap.
Other equipment including binoculars and scopes were also stolen. The haul is valued at around £25,000.
Police believe the collection may have gone abroad and may have been stolen to order.
The guns are for hunting, clay pigeon shooting and competitions.
Their details have been circulated to other police forces across the country along with gun shops and dealers.
The gang, who were all wearing balaclavas, used bolt cutters to open the security shutters at the shop before smashing their way through a window.
They escaped in a white Vauxhall saloon which was later found abandoned in Woodhouse Park, south Manchester.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Bolton CID on 0161 856 5740 or Crimestoppers on free phone 0800 555 111.
