DIRECTOR Dave Eyre is bringing some new, young blood to the Phoenix Theatre Company's next production - Caught in the Net.
This Ray Cooney play is the hilarious sequel to Run for Your Wife.
The company does not have its own youth group but when he needed two actors to play teenagers in the play, David used his many contacts and recruited Louise Davenport, aged 16, and George Critchley, aged 17.
The pair are still at college, but have had a good deal of acting experience. George has appeared with Bolton Little Theatre, the Marco Players and most recently at the Bridgewater Hall in a production of Barnum.w Louise has mostly appeared in musicals, notably The Sound of music, Bugsy Malone and Annie. Both are enjoying rehearsals with Phoenix and Louise said: "I've only really taken part in musicals in the past and this funny, fast-paced play is a new challenge and great fun to be in."
George said: "There's something in it for everyone - a very enjoyable experience."
Caught in the Net by Ray Cooney will be performed by Phoenix at St Philip's Hall, Bridgeman Street, Bolton, from September 22 to 25 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from the Box Office on 01204 840448, at £6 (concessions £4).
