I AM writing just to let people know how upsetting it was when our cat got so cruelly run over at the junction of Lock Lane and Wigan Road on September 5.
Only a cat, she was our cat and we loved her so much. I felt my heart was going to break. It took us three days to find out what had happened to her.
We had her chipped so we knew if she was lost she could be brought back to us. But that wasn't so, because she hadn't done any damage to the car - she was left in the road. Then the police took her away and we couldn't find out what they had done with her.
My point is that if she had been a dog, or another big animal, and done some damage to a vehicle, then the police would have found the owners to pay for repairs.
All we wanted was to be able to bury her and say goodbye, but we will never know how she ended that terrible night.
