YEOVIL Town boss Gary Johnson is hoping to record a second victory over Sam Allardyce on Tuesday night when the Wanderers manager brings his Premiership high-fliers to Huish Park for a mouth-watering Carling Cup second round tie.
And Johnson recalled his previous clash with Allardyce and spoke of his appreciation of his work.
He told the Western Daily Press: "The only time I can remember facing Sam is when I had just taken over at Cambridge and he was at Notts County.
"We went there and we gave a debut to a lad called Micky Danzey who scored and we won 3-2 at Meadow Lane.
"We had just signed him from Forest so it was one of those interesting situations.
"But Sam was always larger than life and he is a great lad who has done a lot for the League Managers' Association.
"He's taken Bolton from being a club outside the Premiership to being one of the top Premier League teams - that's a fantastic feat and that's why people expect them to be there or thereabouts this season."
