RAMBLERS walking legally for the first time on areas of private land have been warned of the potential dangers.
The Countryside and Rights of Way Act, known as the Right to Roam act, opened up large areas of Lancashire to walkers for the first time, when it became law this week.
But mountain rescue organisations said walkers should be fit and capable of coping in the conditions in bad weather.
