A HORWICH primary school is preparing to go green for the day. St Mary's Primary School is to concentrate on environmentally friendly issues on October 1, with activities such as litter picks.
Youngsters will be encouraged to come to school by bike or by a walking bus and parents will be urged to share cars.
They will even be eating a "green lunch" consisting of snacks such as lime jelly and green fruit salad.
The curriculum of the day will be centred on issues such as recycling and conservation.
