BUS passengers using stops along the stretch of Piccadilly from Portland Street, Manchester, towards the rail station are being advised that services are being relocated to allow for pavement widening works.
From Thursday:
services 153, 219, 220, 221 and the 219 night service (Stand EW) will move to a temporary stop on the layby outside No.1 Piccadilly, facing Lever Street, until further notice.
services 173, 185, 186, 188, 196 and the Trans Peak service (Stand EQ) will move to a temporary stop on Newton Street, prior to Piccadilly, until Thursday 23rd September, before returning to Stand EQ.
the Metroshuttle stop on Piccadilly East prior to Portland Street will be closed. Metroshuttle will use the temporary stop on Newton Street until further notice.
From Thursday,
services 201, 203, 204, 205, 206 and night services 192 and 201 (Stand EO) will move to Stand EQ until further notice.
service 192 (Stand EP) will move to a temporary stop in the lay-by prior to the traffic lights at Ducie Street.
Passengers can check their services before travelling by calling Greater Manchester's Public Transport Information Line on 0161 228 7811. Lines are open between 7am and 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm on weekends. Minicom is available on this number if required. Information can also be accessed via www.gmpte.com.
