BUSINESSES in the North-west are failing to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to contributing to local communities, according to research commissioned by Envirowise.
More than 80 per cent of businesses in the area think that getting involved in community initiatives, such as fundraising for local schools and charities, would bring them local commercial support but only 20 per cent are actively involved.
