A BUS driver has appeared in court charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of a five-year-old Bolton schoolboy at Camelot Theme Park.
Hisamul Ulhaque, of Bridgeman Street, Daubhill, died instantly under the wheels of the bus on the car park outside the Chorley theme park in April.
The youngster, who attended Sunninghill Primary School, Daubhill, had been on a day out with his parents, two older brothers and two older sisters and other members of his extended family.
He was watching other children playing football in a car park before setting off home when he was struck by the Stagecoach bus. He suffered massive head injuries. Brendan Smyth, aged 66, of Oxford Road, Bamber Bridge, near Preston, appeared at Chorley Magistrates Court yesterday charged with the offence.
He has been granted bail until his preliminary hearing at Preston Crown Court on Thursday, September 30.
