TEENAGE athlete Steven Leigh recorded a season's best 800m time but could not win a Paralympic medal in Athens on Monday night.
The 17-year-old, from Westhoughton, finished seventh in the T38 category men's 800m final - for athletes with cerebral palsy - in Athens.
Steven, who has hemiplegic cerebral palsy, which affects his ability to move the right side of his body, finished in a time of 2mins 18.75secs.
South African Malcolm Pringle won the gold medal in 1min 58.87secs.
