Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old appeared in the youth court at Bolton Magistrates yesterday charged with two fire arms offences and assault.

Their cases were adjourned until October 6.

During the shooting incident on April 18, two First North Western workers were hit in the back and the arm with pellets fired from an air rifle in two separate incidents within an hour of each other.

The conductors had just left trains which pulled into the station in Leigh Road, Westhoughton, when they were shot. The first incident happened at 7pm and the second occurred at 7.50pm.
