MICHAEL Bridges could be set for his first league appearance of the season tonight after completing his move to Sunderland.
The Wanderers striker has re-joined the Black Cats on a three month loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer and is tipped to go straight into Mick McCarthy's squad for the Coca-Cola Championship match at Leeds - another of his former clubs.
Jason Talbot, a local product of the Wanderers' Academy, signed professional forms today and was immediately lined up for a loan move to Derby County.
The tough-tackling 18-year-old from Trafford, who has played in defence and in midfield with the juniors and reserves, was on the subs' bench for the Carling Cup tie at Yeovil on Tuesday.
