TEENAGE boxing sensation Amir Khan visited Bolton Institute for a taste of a career in computing.
The 17-year-old from Heaton, who brought home a silver medal from the Olympic Games, was guest of honour at Bolton Institute's one-day Digital Futures Career Fair yesterday.
More than 500 students from 10 North-west's sixth form colleges and secondary schools visited the newly-announced university to learn about the jobs on offer in the world of computing.
Amir was given a tour of the university's computing departments, seeing the wide range of computing degrees on offer.
He will also saw a careers exhibition in Eagle Mall featuring digital businesses from around Bolton.
