NURSES who trained together more than 40 years ago in Bolton were staging a reunion today.
The 50 nurses, who all started training at the Bolton School of Nursing in the 1960s, came from as far away as Florida for the event.
Jean Cummings, who helped organise the event, said: "A lot has changed since we started. Everyone has moved on and the world of medicine has changed massively.
"Nurses are now educated at the University of Salford.
"They have to be familiar with computers and the rise of assistant practitioners allows nurses to lighten their load and deliver hands-on care."
Today the nurses were enjoying a buffet at Plodder Lane Conservative Club - and music from the Sixties.
