VOLUNTEERS swam the English Channel and back to raise money for a youth club in Farnworth.
Or at least, they completed 2,504 lengths of Farnworth Baths - which is the total distance needed to swim to France and back.
The swimmers took to the water in a challenge to raise money for Zac's Youth Bar.
The event included both young and old taking part with four-year-old Charlie Bradbury managing to swim four lengths.
Stuart Barnes, Zac's manager, and his two sons totalled 530 lengths between them while Joseph Burke from the Special Needs Holiday Club achieved 18.
Teenagers Marie and Michelle Eckersley, who attend Zac's Friday night youth bar, swam 282 lengths and members of Farnworth Triathlon Club donated 350.
Judi Hibbert, Zac's fundraiser, was delighted with the event. She said: "Staff, volunteers, friends, children and young people, with and without special needs who attend Zac's, all tried so hard and enjoyed themselves too"
