Leigh RMI v Hereford: PHIL Starbuck wants his wayward strikers to start hitting the net.
The Leigh RMI boss prepared for Saturday's encounter with in-form Hereford at Hilton Park, hoping his forwards can turn into shooting stars.
He played an attacking line-up at York on Tuesday, but was not happy with the performances of his forwards.
"I was disappointed with Craig Mitchell and Chris Simms," Satrbuck said.
"Mitchell has struggled all season and he was woeful, but they are only young and keen to learn. But although I need to be more patient, I don't have a lot of time. If they can get a goal, the confidence will come."
The manager hopes to have experienced defender Gregor Rioch back in the squad.
Rioch suffered a knee ligament injury last month in only his second game since moving from Northwich, but with Gareth Holmes and Gary Williams definitely out of action and Martin Moran recovering from mumps, Starbuck will be happy to have his services again.
"We only have a small squad and the injuries have weakened our bench, so I hope Rioch will have recovered," he said.
