A SPECIALIST welfare advice worker appointed to work on an Atherton estate has identified a small fortune in unclaimed benefits.
Sarah Hunt offers free and confidential advice to people living on the Hag Fold estate, covering everything residents might need to know about benefit related issues.
Chair of Atherton Building Communities Cllr Sue Loudon said: "Since April this year, more than £116,000 of unclaimed benefits has been identified, while the total unclaimed benefits identified since the project began stands at just under £2 million.
"This is money that people are entitled to, which is helping to improve the quality of life for residents of Hag Fold."
