THE North-West MEP Chris Davies wants people to vote for an EU constitution.
Mr Davies says: "I will be encouraging people in the North-west to vote for a constitutional treaty that will simplify the way in which Europe is run."
MPs and MEPs are elected by the constituents to speak for them, not for themselves. Mr Davies should ask the people of the North-west how he should vote on their behalf.
The people of the North-west should be told that England will be split up into nine regions - no England, no Cheshire, no Cumbria, no Lancashire - just the North-west region.
The EU costs the UK £40 million per day to be a member. Look what could be done with that money - hospitals, schools, roads, railways, public transport, and more.
If we accept the Constitution, we will lose our sovereignty, our Queen, our Parliament. Is that what Mr Davies wants for the people of the North-west to vote for?
