BOLTON has been awarded £285,000 over three years to develop out of hours activities in primary and secondary schools.
The funding boost is from the Big Lottery Fund: Young People's Fund Extended School programme and schools wanting a share of the money should apply the local education authority.
By October 15, education chiefs have to give the Big Lottery Fund the names of schools who come up with the best project to help disadvantaged communities.
