A MOTHER and her three daughters fled from a fire which destroyed the roof of their house.
The blaze broke out in the roof space of the home in Workington Avenue, Little Lever, at 6.45pm on Sunday.
The woman and the girls, one teenager and two aged around 10 years old, got out of the house after smelling smoke. Fire crews spent more than three hours putting out the flames.
The house also suffered serious water damage after the fire caused a plastic water tank to split, which led to ceilings collapsing.
