A 15-YEAR-0LD boy has been sentenced to a two year Supervision Order and an Anti Social Behaviour Order after he was convicted of assaulting a teacher at a school in Bury.
Aron Cooper assaulted the teacher in the school grounds after a confrontation in March this year. The man suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The Anti Social Behaviour Order, given out by magistrates at Bury, prevents the teenager from using abusive, threatening or intimidating language or behaviour in a public place including any educational or school premises.
He is also forbidden from entering any educational or school premise unless as a bona fide student or pupil of that establishment.
Inspector Vincent Jones of Bury Police said: "The decision of the court to impose an ASBO sends out a strong message that behaviour of this type will not be tolerated.
"It also provides reassurance to the teaching profession that positive action will be taken to address further acts of this nature."
