WHEN footballers behave like children they should be treated like children. That's why the Football Association must accept a proposal to introduce sin bins.
Sending players into sin bins when they have misbehaved is the equivalent of giving children a smack when they have been naughty -- instant punishment which teaches them the difference between right and wrong.
As children tend not to repeat bad behaviour after a smack, footballers would be less willing to commit the same offence after a spell in the sin bin.
