SUPERMARKET chain Asda will ask all shoppers who look under the age of 24 to show identification to prove they are old enough to buy alcohol.
The crackdown on underage drinking will be trialled at the company's store at Eastlands in Manchester from October.
A spokesman for the firm say they find it too difficult to gauge a person's age from their face alone.
