BOLTON'S most loved TV celebrity Fred Dibnah is recovering at home after a stay in hospital.
Fred spent a week in the Royal Bolton Hospital with a bladder infection and also had a minor kidney operation.
The steeplejack is now under doctor's orders to take it easy.
Fred said: "I've been told I've got to take it easy for a while but I'm feeling OK, just a bit tired."
Fred, aged 66, was told he had bladder cancer three years ago and gave up a course of chemotherapy because it made him so ill.
He will still finish filming a BBC series of 12 programmes touring the country on his Aveling & Porter 1912 Steam Tractor.
