A NEW service has been launched at a Bolton library which offers visitors the chance to learn new skills.
The library now has Learndirect computer-based courses which can be delivered online or via CD-Rom at your own pace.
A range of subjects are covered, under three main headings: skills for life, home and office IT and business management.
Everything from numeracy and literacy skills to learning how to surf the Internet or improving communication skills are at the click of a button.
And there is advice, guidance and support available from the library staff.
The courses became available at High Street library, Daubhill, last week, and are already proving popular.
The service follows on from success at Central, Halliwell and Farnworth libraries, where Learndirect is already offered.
