Stockport v Bury: BURY hope to usher out a miserable month with a victory in the LDV Vans Trophy at Stockport County on Tuesday night.
Graham Barrow's side have lost three and drawn one of their four matches during a black September.
But the Shakers will be hoping to end the month with a victory over Sammy McIlroy's struggling County side, who lie bottom of League One and who have yet to win at home this season.
Barrow intends to field a strong side at Edgeley Park tonight, and is expected to give a debut to teenager Colin Kazim-Richards.
The talented 18-year-old Londoner has received rave reviews for some superb displays in the reserves and could get a run-out from the substitutes' bench.
Barrow said: "We can't tinker with the team. We'll go out with as strong a side as possible and try to win the game. It's a cup competition and they are vital to the finances of the club.
"It's no secret that the money troubles we had two years ago are still around."
Emerson Thome is set to make his first league start for injury-hit Wigan tonight when they travel to Watford in the Championship.
Thome, who joined the Latics from Wanderers in the summer, is likely to play because centre-back Matt Jackson is injured.
