THE Bury and Radcliffe Junior League's U16 side are through to the semi-finals of the Lancashire FA Inter-League Cup after beating Wigan 3-1 at the Robins Park Arena.
Callum Higginbottom fired Bury ahead from the edge of the penalty area in the fifth minute, finishing off a well-worked move down the left wing.
In a stop-start game, Wigan got back on level terms with a 30-yard drive against the run of play, but Higginbottom restored Bury's lead just before half-time.
Bury keeper Lee Dowds kept his side in front by saving a second-half penalty, before Peter Illingworth sealed the victory.
