FAST food sandwich giant Subway looks set to open a new outlet in Bolton before the end of the year.
Bosses have lodged a planning application with council chiefs to create another shop on Newport Street, Bolton. It would be the second branch to open in the town in the last 12 months, with the other being on Bradshawgate.
If the plan is approved, the shop could open in December, creating up to 20 jobs.
Tom Kenworthy, manager of Subway in Bolton, said: "The plans are in the early stages and there is still a lot of legal issues to address."
Representatives from Subway visited the Bradshawgate branch to watch staff in action - and they found the store was one of the most well visited stores in the county - excluding the store in the food court of the Arndale Centre, Manchester.
