A BUDDING designer will host a cultural catwalk show to promote the fashion industry in Bolton.

Khadija Ingar, who runs the Kadjaboo label, has organised a fashion show featuring a number of clothing outlets from across the town.

The 34-year-old mother-of-two, of Daubhill, is self-taught in fashion and uses influences from Asian culture as well as modern design in her work.

Her range of clothing will feature alongside garments from town centre stores Vaniti, Duffer menswear and Ultima, Monsoon Gallery in Heaton and Illusion in Daubhill.

The event, on December 1 at the Festival Hall, will also feature live singing from local vocalist Zoe Stafford and Arabian, Asian and contemporary dance.

Mrs Ingar, who runs her clothing label from the Enterprise Centre, in Washington Street, said: "The show features clothing from all sorts of cultures and backgrounds, and shows links between Asian influences and modern fashion with a display of men's, women and children's wear."

The event is being sponsored by the Ethnic Minority Business Service.

The show runs from 7pm until 10pm and admission is £5.50. Tickets will soon be on sale at Bolton Central Library.
