DOUBLE Olympic champion Daley Thompson is urging schoolchildren to strive for success and help bring the 2012 Olympic Games to London.
The former decathlete is hoping the Olympic bid will help inspire youngsters in sport, so he is backing a new educational resources pack for schools.
At the launch of the London 2012's Living the Dream educational pack, he said: "It is just about getting people enthused about the Olympic Games. I have got a lot of fun out of sport. It directed my whole life."
The pack offers teachers a range of resources to develop Olympic-themed lessons as well as a supporting video, Living the Dream.
The schools pack contains five themed sections - each representing each of the Olympic rings. These are called an inspiration for the future, your personal best, setting a new standard, running alongside, and the next generation.
