A TEAM of six men and four ladies from Chorley Harriers tackled high winds to compete in the Northern 6 Stage and 4 Stage Road relays at Blackpool.
First to run for the men and in the fastest time for the club was Keith Johnston who finished the four mile course in a swift time of 21:20 finishing 26th overall.
The rest of the team comprised Gareth Booth 23:15, Dave Wall 24:40, Dave Mulvee 26:42, Chris Lane 24:35 and Russell Barron 24:52, on the comeback trail. The men's team finished a respectable 41st overall in a combined time of 2hrs 35 mins and 24 seconds.
Meanwhile the ladies, tackling a slightly shorter course, saw strong running from Sarah Scarrot lead the ladies home in 11th place in 15:53.
Sarah was supported well by the rest of the team Claire Goulden 18:16, Gwen Farnworth 18:03 and Diana Wall 18:55.
The ladies' team finished 22nd overall in a combined time of one hour minutes and seven seconds.
