CHORLEY recorded their second consecutive league victory with their first win over Colne and Nelson away for several seasons.
The attacking play Chorley displayed the previous match against West Park continued with two superb first half efforts from Rob Critchley.
Both tries were created from good possession secured by the Chorley forwards and some superb handling at speed from the backs. Sam Keane who played a controlled game throughout kicked both conversions and slotted two penalties before half time.
The second half saw Colne and Nelson come back at Chorley with a try that resulted from a misunderstood advantage that was being played, and a penalty for repeated infringement at the ruck.
Eddie Crompton paid the price for Chorley's indiscipline and spent ten minutes watching from the sin-bin.
Despite the second half onslaught from the home side Chorley held firm in defence with a superb effort from Steve Goodman throughout and a try saving tackle from Richard Roberts five minutes from the end.
Final score: Colne and Nelson10 Chorley 20
