TWO of the region's top poets, Dik and Chloe Poems, will appear on the BBC in a poetry version of X-Factor, judged by a panel including Salford's John Cooper Clarke.
The pair will compete against six other wordsmiths for the stitle of Slam Poet 2004, hosted by Manchester's unofficial poet laureate, Lemn Sissay. It will be recorded in front of a live audience of 600 people in London and broadcast on the BBC big screen, in Exchange Square, Manchester, on National Poetry Day, October 7, at 10.30pm, and on BBC 3.
