Tyldesley 10 Upper Eden 20: TYLDESLEY'S recent good run was stopped by a 20-10 defeat by Upper Eden.
Once again the Tyldesley pack was dominant in both the scrummage and lineout. Props James O'Connor and Rhys Morgan caused all types of problems in the tight and loose play for the East Cumbrians.
Upper Eden made use of the little ball they had, taking an early lead, which they held to the end of the first half, scoring 13 points with only a solitary penalty from Tyldesley's Ashley Worsfold in reply.
Tyldesley continued their domination up front, and following good work from Nash and O'Connor, blind side flanker Adam Fetherston was on hand to take the pass to score close to the posts. With the game finely poised at 13-10 Tyldesley lost the initiative and open side flanker Tom Cartwright was dismissed for punching in a maul on the opposition 22.
Upper Eden created their first worthwhile attack of the half and a long range effort was finished off, along with an excellent conversion, to kill the game off 20-10.
