A BOLTON supermarket worker has been on a free holiday to Spain after setting up a website asking people to give him money for no reason.

Chris Seward, aged 21, and pal Glyn Moore set up the www.sendusamillion.com website in July but could hardly believe their luck when the Airport Parking Shop company sent them on an all-inclusive week long holiday this month to the Costa Brava.

The only condition was that the pair had to wear company T-shirts.

Chris, an assistant at the Tonge Moor branch of Kwik Save, said: "We had a brilliant time on holiday and it was especially good because we didn't have to pay for it."

Chris and Glyn, also aged 21, stayed in the three-star Belle Vue hotel which was just a five-minute walk from the beach. They spent the week relaxing on the beach and playing pool.

So far, more than 9,000 people have visited the lads' website and random visitors have given them cash gifts totalling £48, as well as an Alice Cooper DVD.

On the website the lads have written that they would use the money to pay off debts, go on holidays and to generally achieve peace of mind.

Chris said: "Most people have been really supportive. We have had one message from someone telling us to get jobs but we already have jobs."

Chris moved to Tonge Moor from Liverpool a year ago.

Glyn still lives in Merseyside.

David Dixon, on-line marketing manager of the Airport Parking Shop said of the £800 holiday: "We wanted a unique way to publicise our name and we didn't want to go through the standard press release route because that has been done to dust. Most of our marketing is on-line and we wanted to do something fun, that people would enjoy reading about."
